Missions is in the DNA of the church. Commissioning missionaries and sending them to the nations to make disciples of all ethnicities has been the way of the church since its first century beginnings at Antioch.
Jesus said to them, “go into all the world and preach the Gospel…” (Mark 16:15)
Cambodia Commandos
The Fab Five returned from their three-week mission in Cambodia. The team, along with Cambodian partners (comprising a pastor, a medical doctor and an interpreter) travelled in the northern region sharing the love of Jesus through the mobile medical clinic, and setting up much needed water wells in two villages. VCC had been praying for an even greater harvest of souls than last year’s mission and God answered our prayers. All of Heaven is rejoicing with us for the 670 men, women and children who gave their lives to Jesus. These precious souls will be followed up and shepherded by the pastor in the local village. Please pray that they would get to know Jesus better and that they would keep going and growing in their faith walk with Him.
Rebecca Kristensen (His Heart Ministries)
‘Becs’ returned to the Philippines to serve the Lord amongst her much loved poor people of Baguio. Her ministry is abundantly fruitful and she is kept extremely busy with five House Churches (one in a squatter’s area); a Homework Club for high school students; a Street Church (which includes street vendors); After-School kids ministry at the elementary school in the squatter area; a School of Champions Bible Classes; in addition to regular house and hospital visits and youth activities. Phew! An energetic young woman indeed! Please pray for the youth as they step out in Jesus; pray for the sponsor kids and their families as God continues to touch them; pray for the new house churches – for smooth transitions, and connections with new believers, and that they would all encounter Jesus!
